Fiber Reinforced Plastic (FRP), which is being developed as a key material for lightweight, high strength in a variety of industries, has a variety of forming methods, depending on fiber configuration and the type of resins used. Simulated preliminary studies of forming conditions are strongly required in order to respond to the automation of forming processing in order to achieve both high-cycle and low-cost performance.
J-Composites is a group of tool that solution complex forming processes and process chains of plastic composites in conjunction with the general purpose solver Ansys LS-DYNA. Supports development time and cost-savings in manufacturing phase with press and plastic flow.
This is a software series that supports the process and process chain solution of J-Composites plastic/composite materials. The series includes stamping simulation Modeling tool "Form Modeler", compression forming analysis Modeling tool "Compression Molding" and the "Fiber Mapper" which maps the composite flow solution to the structured solution meshes.
Form Modeler :
This tool reduces the number of man-hours required for composite material designs by automatically converting material properties into solution material properties data and automatically creating product models with laminate configurations. By collaborating with Ansys LS-DYNA, we can solution material behaviour at forming with high accuracy, which contributes to the reduction of development-time and cost.
Compression Molding :
This tool incorporates solution method, developed by JSOL to accurately predict compression forming behaviour, and automatically sets the optimum solution parameter for computational stability with JSOL's unique know-how. You can create solution modeling easily and with high precision.
Fiber Mapper :
Mapped tool for taking over forming analysis findings to Ansys LS-DYNA for discontinuous fiber reinforced material. Allows pre-prediction of impacts on forming processing.
