[Simulation] S frame collapse analysis
Comparison of the collapse property of the thin bending part (with or without consideration of the work hardening effect)
This experiment was conducted by Working group of structure and strength, Society of Automotive Engineers of Japan. This shows force-stroke behaviour under the prescribed displacement. We have compared the test result and analysis result. In which virgin material property and the one with work hardening, that HYCRASH calculates. It shows much better correlation between the test and analysis, if you incorporate the effect of forming, using HYCRASH
Peak force(kN) | Difference to test | |
---|---|---|
Test | 27.7 | - |
Virgin material | 24.1 | 13% |
With HYCRASH 26. | 26.5 | 4% |
